Jesus Christ Superstar

So, Boonville High School's Thesbian Troupe #950 did its production of "Jesus Christ Superstar". It was a big success and sold out 3 of the 4 showings. Boonville has sold out for a musical since "Grease" which was 13 years ago.

On opening night, near the end of the song "Everything's Alright," a breaker blew and the pit had lost their power. Things didn't get fixed for a while but we did a good job of improving between songs while we waited. According to many, they didn't even notice that wasn't part of the show.

Overall, it was an amazing perfomance all four nights, and I am really gratefull I got to be a part of the cast in this amazing show. Below is a slideshow of some pictures taken by parents.

Jesus Christ Superstart

Boonville High School Thespian Troupe #950 did an EXCELLENT job with Damn Yankees last Spring.

This year, we are performing the musical, Jesus Christ Superstar. Like I said in a previous blog, I got the part of an Apostle. Judy a few days aago gave the Apostles without names a name for this one scene. My name has been declared as John.

Our show has been coming along AMAZING. The dancing is great, and so is the singing. We have made it through the first act and working on a few of the numbers in the second act.

Opening night is Thursday, April 22 at 7PM and continues Friday and Saturday, April 23 & 24 at 7PM and Sunday, April 25 at 2PM

A Fresh Start

Well, I apoligive for not updating this thing like I said I would.
I kinda got caught up in other things.

Hmmm well

Not too much is different.

Me and Cain broke up, cause of distance. But it is all good cause we still talk as really good friends. Its great :]

Auditions for the musical were in December, before winter break. I got the part of an Apostle, I'm pretty juiced for that!!!!

Christmas stopped by again; imagine that! I got some gift cards and with that I bought some pretty cool clothes. I also got a laptop, which was the best of them all!

That's really all I have to say for now. I pretty much just woke up so I'm tired as hell and I kinda have a headache.

(Good Friday) School Day 2

Okay so here I am again at school, but this time it has just begun. It's a black day, my least favorite day, and I am currently in typing, but next period I will be in swimming. We get to play basketball. Then after swimming is BIOLOGY!!!! Yea sorry you had to hear that too! Then my last period of the day is Spanish. All we are really doing in Spanish is taking a test over our vocab words. It's not that bad. I like Spanish! =]

So yea today is good Friday and we weren't supposed to be in school but the dumb weather or whatever messed it up. I don't really care though. School is sorta fun as long as you have friends.

After school today we have character pictures for the musical. I'm kinda excited for that.

Alright well I'm gonna jet before I get in trouble. I'll post more fun things some other time tonight since I get to come home early because there is no drama rehearsal.

Gotta Stand Strong

Alright so Saturday evening, April 4, I got a phone call from my step-dad while I was at Olive Garden. He told me I was spending the night that night and helping him clean up his yard in the morning. I was so pissed off when I heard this. I didn't want to spend my weekend picking up sticks!

So Sunday came and I was awaken by my step dad while in bed. I put my shorts on before i walked to the bathroom and went to the shower. After showering, our mission began.

Now my mom has a pretty big yard with a lot of trees, trees that have gumballs, and no not the fun kind either!

It was about 9 AM when we started. We raked leaves, picked up sticks, and all that jazz to yard cleaning. I swear it seemed like after you picked up one stuck, two more took its place! Well we took little breaks every so often.

After about 5 hours of hard working, we finally finished and jumped into the shower once again to clean up. We were going to Evansville Next

To shorten this up because I have homework, we went to get me sliding shorts and some underwear for the dressing scene in the musical.

Yea, so I didn't get home 'till about 7 that evening. Then I got on yahoo to talk to Zakk.





Well that totally sucked to.
We were so close, so tight, really good friends just in different states, which caused our problem. We got into this major fight about something I can;t explain to you because you would have to be us. So to put things to rest, I told him I think it would be best for us if we forgot our relationship. Well he wasn't so happy about that idea, and of course, neither was I. I knew that that's what would be the best for the both of us. Hopefully he'll see that someday then we could continue to be friends.

He so he's pissed at me and said a lot of things that really hurt me.

I still haven't got over it, maybe I will, maybe I won't.
I'll still put on a smile

Those Damn Yankees

So as you may know, Boonville High School is doing Damn Yankees for the Spring Musical this year. I got the part of Mickey, he's a baseball player. I also get to do a lot of dancing.

Damn Yankees is about an old man named Joe Boyd who would just love to see the Washington Senators beat the Yankees. He wants it so much he is willing to sell his soul to the devil, Applegate. Applegate doesn't like it, but made a deal to turn Joe into the greatest ball player so he can play for the Senators to beat the Yankees, and changes his last name to Hardy. The part that Applegate doesn't like is that he gave Joe an escape clause. He has until a certain day to wim the penant. If he doesn't win by then, he will be forced to work for Applegate.

So during the show, games go on, and Lola, Applegates seductive assistant, tries to convince Joe Hardy to fall in love with him so that he will be stuck to work for Applegate also.

Another event going on is that the reporter, Gloria, starts of kind of suspicious of Joe Hardy. Later on in the show, Applegate "accidentaly" tells Gloria a false rumer about Joe which leads them into court, on his last day of being Joe Hardy until he is stuck as Joe Hardy forever and working for Applegate. This causes alot of difficulty for Joe.

Scream!

So as some may know, I am auditioning for the summer musical. If you didn't, guess what, I am! So yea, for my auditions I am singing a song that, strangely, I thought was cool and perfect to show off two types of voices in singing.

Then I got to thinking, what if I make my auditions even cooler and shock everyone there? So I started working on choreography for it today. I'm not doing to much planned choreography 'cause it's only auditions, but still, I'm having a bit of it.

It's like the last few lines of the song, watch it at the bottom, that's what I'm doing. That's the only choreography I'm using from the video.

The solo and instrumental part in the song, which is 6 counts of 8, is what I plan on choreographing next. Thankfully, I'm getting some help on that!
